School lollipop man accused of sexually abusing children, baby to make child porn filmsMichael Cyril Hyde, a 60-year-old traffic warden at a school in Perth's western suburbs for more than a decade, faces court over child sex offences. What happened to the working with children check? I know someone who does this work and apart from the fact that it sounds really dangerous I know they had to have all the checks done. The WWC is only valid until these people are caught - do you really think WWC cardholders do not include pedophiles? Horrific if found guilty.

Starting school later benefits children: study | Sky News AustraliaStudents who start kindergarten a year later than eligible typically fare better than their younger peers, according to landmark research.\n\nA study of 100,000 children led by the University of NSW is the largest to look at kindergarten starting age in NSW, and found children scored better on developmental milestones with each extra month of age.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Yes. That should be obvious to anyone. The 'early learning' brigade need to back off Can you link to the study, article is not working. Plenty of research to the alternative so I find this very dubious. Lifting our game report covers the benefits pretty clearly because parents teach them to count and read and write kindegarden and preschool teach them how to paint and crafts

‘It’s a cage’: School criticised for installing fenced off area for autistic studentsAn Australian high school has installed a 'cage'' for autistic students, which parents say is “taking away from their (children’s) humanity,” and compared it to jail. It's for their own safety, I'd have to say. It's a good idea in the sense at least they can't run out on to the road.. A cage? I can't comprehend the line of thinking that led to the belief that this would be acceptable. Before too many doo gooders squeak here they might want to work a day in a school where these kids are. Violence tantrums and dangerous acts make working with these high needs students a risk every minute. Not only for teachers but other students. Not a simple solution here

'Taking away their humanity': School criticised over fenced area for students with autismA lockable fenced play area for teenagers with autism at a Hobart high school is akin to Risdon jail's freedom areas, one parent says. Typical leftists. Always crying, but have no solutions offered. Sensory rooms? They won't be the ones offering to pay for it, or just ask the government, just like every other leftist hoping for an increase in Newstart for doing nothing except drugs. Autism needs care not fences, shame on this school They have pool fences to protect children from drowning, nothing to see here.

A Sydney school has banned kids from handing out party invitesA Sydney school’s decision to ban students from handing out birthday party invitations has infuriated parents across the country, with many claiming the move is “bubble wrapping kids”. Becoming ‘furious’ over a school’s decision which harms nobody is ridiculous I will admit it probably means one less thing teachers have to be involved in when parents come to them to ask 'so did Jane, Andrew and Sam get the invitations and give them to their parents?' I think the worst thing that could happen here is a late onset of FOMO
