Another OAU student kills self over poor result

Although the details of the incident were unclear as of Saturday, our correspondent learnt that she took her life over poor performance.

A source in the university said, “A student in the Department of English, OAU, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Opeyemi Grace Dara, whose set finished their final year exams last semester has committed suicide through the consumption of Snipper on Friday. But she had some outstanding courses. The department is in a mourning mood.”

“Some people in the past passed through same situation and came out clean. Now, suicide can never be an option and people, especially young ones, who believe that taking their own lives is an act of gallantry, should know that it is not.

Another student takes his life for a degree next to worthless in the shithole! what an excuse to transition from the land of the living to the world unknown to mortals!! ADIEU..........VOYAGER.

It's high time our educational needs a serious rehabilitation, and more of orientation. It's a scam when you believed education is the ticket to successful life, you graduate now, what's your assurance of making ends meet.

Like, this is so much more than being crazy. While on earth would you do that all because of poor performance. If formal education isn't right for you, why not go for vocation. This is just mediocrity.

Five outstanding courses and 12 special electives, it's just a sessional workload now. If someone is not greeting you for your poor grade let him be. Why killing yourself? Buhar not a university graduate and attained highest political point in life. U must be crazy even at death.

May Allah safe us from this suicide of a thing,how on Earth would someone just terminate his precious life all because of poor academic results?that is so outrageous, sorry to his parents.
