The deceased who was in the Department of English and Literature was said to have committed suicide after a dose of lethal substance popularly known as snipper.
But the authorities of the institution confirmed that the deceased committed suicide due to depression occasioned by poor academic records. When contacted, the Public Relations Officer of OAU, Segun Olanrewaju, confirmed the incident to our correspondent and promised that the institution would investigate the incident and make its findings public.Olanrewaju said, “We sympathise with the parents and guardian of the deceased called Dara. We just want our students and young ones to know that depression is not a thing they should encourage, no matter the situation or circumstance they find themselves.
What is that happened to him that would make him to behave so stupid like that?
Parents, schools and other ibstututions really need to do better!
To be honest here, most of these lecturers are pure Sadists, they just love to show that YES, nobody goes through them easily! Maybe our Institutions need to improve results marking systems too? R.I.P anyways

Bad academic records shouldn't lead you to commit suicide. As a distinction and 2:1 student from both Poly and University, I wished I never studied so hard. It's a total waste of future time to study like a mad man only to end up in the same office and position with a 3rd class
