A self-identified pro-Afrikaans group has made a clean sweep of the elections for posts on the executive committee of the convocation at Stellenbosch University after winning all five seats.
Theo de Jager, who was found guilty on two counts of fraud in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court in February 1999, clinched 3 007 votes for the post of president, while Riaan de Villiers, who was nominated by the opposing SUNewConvoRise movement, garnered only 730 votes.
