For all those asking about high schools/secondary schools, the government have already said they will provide funding.goohle Red Box Project in the UK.Those who ask why its needed,I suggest you Google period poverty .yes, its real.

doesn’t it make more sense to do this in high schools

surely it should be for high school girls first rather than primary schools? not many primary school kids have periods🤷🏼‍♀️

Why should these things be given free,i don,t understand.

This is getting ridiculous.

What about secondary schools? On average girls don’t start their periods between the ages of 10 and 15. You start secondary school when you are 10 or 11. They should also be available in sixth form and colleges for those who started later at the age of 19 for example

Guys it’s only in Scotland ...

If you have any left over give them to the winging University Students

Why primary and not high school? Pretty much every girl in high school will need them. Moreso than primary. What a weird decision.

now provide them for high schools and colleges. Primary hardly anyone would start

We had a small bottle of milk and school dinners (free to the poor). Now they get breakfast, lunch, after school activity and now free sanitary products and if they misbehave enough, special schools with free trips. Where does the money come from?

ok but secondary schools need that more. most girls get their period around twelve which is in year 7.

why not high schools? the time where most girls will have periods....

Yeh coz every kid in primary school needs a tampax

'The ink is black, the tampon is white, together we learn to read & write...' 🎶🎶

Oh hang on... I'm waiting for the uproar of social conscience of too young, too soon, the tampon is too white...

Empty gestures. Not many 4-11 year olds need them at primary school. How about providing them for 11-16 year olds at secondary school?

Free you say... so the manufacturers are giving them away then?!

Primary school girls to receive free sanitary products after justice league faces criticism

Can someone explain to me why these are not available for free for all women? It's not like they have a choice. I just don't understand why women have to pay for them, yet we (if we wanted) can get condoms for free from our GP? Can do the same with tampons?

Girls at Welsh schools to be given free sanitary products in aim to end 'period poverty'Move designed to tackle ‘period poverty’ and follows reports some girls have been missing school because they cannot afford tampons Excellent Quite right too. Should be, at a minimum, subsidized for all. Really great. I Cannot fault this, at all. But what are the parents/guardians of these children doing? I grew up in a low-income household, in Wales, and my parents made sure I had everything I needed. My sister, too!

Welsh schools to give out free sanitary products to tackle 'period poverty'The move follows reports that young women are using socks and toilet paper, and sometimes missing school, due to their periods. All sanitary products should be free to every female, women don’t choose to have a period. Sanitary products are only luxuries if you live in a third world country, apparently we live in one of the richest countries in the world yet we have period poverty 🤷🏻‍♀️ Shouldn’t it read to tackle poverty period ! 😂 nice to see its happening somewhere. Maybe now other areas of the world will help with this problem

Primary school will give pupils Friday afternoons off as children 'lack focus' by end of weekA primary school is to give pupils Friday afternoons off as they say that children "lack focus" by the end of the week. Parents get strung up for taking a child out of school during term time... but it's okay for teachers to scrap Fridays? Hypocrisy in Education Lots of social & family issues associated with such a decision. So teaching them it's alright to lack focus on Friday is not just an excuse for teachers who are contacted already to work just 190 days a year already, is OK. What happens when they go out to work, it's alright to not work Friday afternoon.
