Parents get strung up for taking a child out of school during term time... but it's okay for teachers to scrap Fridays? Because the article talks about them not being able to hold a pencil or talk effectively. That's more then just lazy parenting. These kids need to get into an intervention program. Why aren't the schools speaking directly to the parent/s. Once they've identified the children lacking the necessary skills? Don't some of these kids feed through from nursery to infants? So there's another point of identifying those without the basic skills? Single mums?
