Data reveals financial pressure on higher education sector with tuition fee cuts possible

Nearly one in four universities in England were in deficit last year, according to an official compilation of data that suggests more financial difficulties could be on the way.

Rubbish! Just an excuse to raise tuition fees. Poor countries are doing just fine providing great education.

Universities should be. Run by clever people on the face of it. Let's see if they can manage a budget.

How with all of those huge fees per student?

How did they manage when tuition fees were a third what they are now? There's a thief about in the Universities.

As Gove said, we’re sick of experts. Let’s get rid of the means of creating experts and lower the bar.

So they charge 9 grand a year, and are still losing money. It's almost as if the government have decided higher education is nothing to do with them.....

Government picks up the tab and starts to collect the taxes from the 1%. Simple.
