TikTok users seem to prefer health-related videos from popular influences rather than expert medical advice, according to a WSU study.

However, any other topic doesn’t have much engagement and most times flops. According to the study in the Journal of Health Communication, TikTok’s young audience prefers health-related videos featuring the ‘role model’ appeals of popular influencers, including their diet or exercise routine, instead of expert medical advice.
