A teen identified as a Taft High School student was killed in a weekend crash, which police said is being investigated as a case of manslaughter.
Dominic Hernandez, 15, was sitting in the back of a 2011 BMW 328i as it was speeding south about 3:40 a.m. Sunday in the 7200 block of Culebra Commons Road. The BMW failed to turn a curve and crashed into the concrete base of a safety rail, San Antonio police said. Hernandez was ejected 15 feet from the car and landed in a culvert 15 feet below the road.On Wednesday, a police spokesman said the incident was listed as manslaughter, with the suspect pending arrest.
