One boy arrested as RNC looks for other suspects involved in armed attack at St. John's high school

Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Const. James Cadigan spoke with reporters at police headquarters Friday, March 10, where he said investigators had arrested one youth earlier in the morning.PWC in St. John's. — Joe GibbonsPolice responded to Prince of Wales Collegiate on Paton Street at about 11:40 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, where multiple armed suspects had attacked a 16-year-old student with weapons outside the main entrance.

Cadigan said the attack is believed to have been targeted. He would not say whether the suspects are PWC students. “The RNC has learned that parents have received accounts from their children who are fearful of the individuals believed to be responsible for this attack,” Cadigan told reporters.
