WA teachers ask parents to help make kids wear masks as government opts against mandate

The Premier and the Health Minister have instead said mask-wearing, indoors, is "strongly encouraged".

She said teachers were worried that, without a mask mandate for classrooms, COVID-19 will rapidly spread through schools again, infecting students and staff. "Schools really need the support of parents to ensure that students are wearing masks, for their own health, but also for the health of other people in the school," Ms Byrne said.

The desperation & foolishness of this request from WA teachers is astounding. With or without masks COVID will spread. How many flu seasons have they worked through (without any “protective” measures in place) & survived?

No sane, caring or rational adult would think masking kids has more benefit than detriment. When did teacher’s start hating kids so much? You have to be a cruel human to think this is ok.
