The aim is a syllabus that serves teachers, rather than the other way around. It will let them call up exactly what they need across multiple subjects, as well as provide resources such as sample assessments, advice on lesson planning, and examples of different standards of student work.

All the gadgetry in the world won’t help unless you have a workable student teacher ratio, dependant on the needs of the class. From memory my poor teachers spent the first & last 10 minutes of a 40 minute class bringing us under control & another 10 min dealing with idiots.
Let's hope the new syllabus includes lessons about gender reassignment surgery.
