GavinWilliamson needs to show the minutes of all discussions otherwise he's as much to blame as ofqual. The Govt need to get a grip of all its departments and start Governing, Covid aside, their is no excuse for the continued shambles.
That is not a believable defence when their limitations were well out in the public domain and the whole lot of them knew what could go wrong. No wonder the teaching unions agreed it is an easy win for them showing how incompetent the Education Minister is.

Definitely OFQUAL mostly to blame here...they are the exam experts not GW. His mistake was knowing this was similar to Scotland and not realising earlier that a change was inevitable. Poor show on all parts but it was the exam boards that were the root cause.
Look, I say this as a rampant Tory. Not a swivel eyed loon but an older school Tory. You're not good enough. Half the cabinet isn't & a cull is required. Personally, I think there should have been a concerted effort to get A-level exams done in a socially distanced way.
