There are three reasons why the PM will probably decide not to sack his education secretary

Gavin Williamson was already known at Westminster for his chutzpah, his meteoric rise to defence secretary followed by a dramatic fall from grace after being accused of leaking state secrets – and an equally rapid return to the front line a few months later.

Presumably only because Boris has nobody up his sleeve who would be less bad! What an abysmal government he is leading, all as bad as each other. How on earth did our politicians plumb such depths. GW is as bad as MH is as bad as PP and the rest. Boris must go.

He will no doubt be ‘kicked upstairs’ to the Lords as a reward for his ‘political service’ in due course , and will never be heard of again

Absolutely disgraceful, this man is such low level politician.

Seems pretty bleeding obvious he needs to resit the year...unfortunately...he’s one u can predict with fuck UK next year too..

Of course it is BORIS does not give a toss even if you are blamed for Rape or especially if your Cummins this tosser Boris will not Sack them Remember all of this when you vote I will never let them

Mmmmmm Boris I think I just made a mistake Oh don’t worry Frank it’s alright

All their jobs are safe while we have a PM who prefers loyalty to ability.

Why would it not be ? Boris hasn’t sacked Jenrick, or the alleged bully Patel or the myopic Cummings. He wants to be surrounded by incompetence they are easily manipulated and he I suspect naively believes it paints him in a good light. FOOL !

He will probably get promoted to deputy PM!

Oh very dear!

This, in the article. They should have to BE competent not appear competent. A tall order.

jenrick still in a job...says it all.

Of course he will stay, there’s nothing in place yet to ensure public money is cyphened in to assist private educational students/establishments.

He'll be out in the Octobers reshuffle. Borrowed time....... Next

I mean, from what I can tell over from my view over here in the United States, the entire conservative party appears safe. None of them seem to suffer consequences. Much like the conservative party here.

Brexit, Brexit, Brexit. Three reasons why he won't be sacked.

Of course it's safe. This government has no shame. Nobody resigns or gets the sack for anything. Lie, flout the rules, disappear almost permanently like wheresBoris, fuck everything up... it's all good!

I’d sack the lot of them!

Don’t be ridiculous! How is that even possible? Completely eroding people’s faith in government. This will not end well.

'in spite of what many would call a devastating increase in the amount of werewolf attacks since his appointment, we are confident in the abilities of the minister for werewolves and are sure he's trying his best'

If he'd made a success he'd be out the door his feet wouldn't touch the floor. The capacity to be a failure is all that's needed.

Incompetence is no barrier in this government.

Why is his job safe? He blundered in a spectacular fashion and ended up having to make a humiliating climb-down. How many people in their daily lives would get away with such incompetence in their workplace?

It's a government of cretins... It would just be another cretin...

Mainly because nobody in this government has to resign for anything. Take a £12,000 bung, drive to Barnard Castle, lie to the Queen - anything goes!

A-level and GCSE exams row: PM has 'confidence' in Gavin Williamson and OfqualBoris Johnson has 'confidence' in his education secretary and the English exams regulator despite chaos over A-level and GCSE results. Citizens you represent have absolutely no confidence whatsoever in GavinWilliamson or Ofqual. The decision by Northern Ireland & Scotland to give GCSE Grades as per teacher assessments should become a country wide decision. Please don’t disadvantage my child, NoMoreIncompetance There is something truly wrong with the people who claim to be running the country! What a disgrace! How that confidence will wain when these 16/17 yr olds who've been done over by Gavin Williamson are old enough to vote next election and they repay that confidence with a vote for others.
