Drayton Manor theme park to be prosecuted over the death of a girl who fell out of water rapids

DRAYTON Manor is to be prosecuted over the death of an 11-year-old girl, who fell out of water rapids at the theme park.

Evha Jannath was on a school trip when she plunged from the Splash Canyon water ride at the Staffordshire attraction in 2017.Aerial pictures of the deserted theme park show officials on the scene of the Splash Canyon ridePost-mortem results published just over a week after her death found that the schoolgirl was killed by "blunt force chest trauma".

The park in Tamworth, Staffs., now faces a charge under Section 3 of the Health and Safety at Work act.
