During his 2016 presidential campaign, Sanders proposed to make college tuition-free and debt-free. In 2016, he introduced legislation - the College For All Act - that would public colleges tution-free for students.Four-year public colleges and community colleges should be free - including tuition and fees - for everyone.

Sanders will fund his student loan forgiveness plan through a new tax on financial transactions, which he expects could raise more than $2 trillion over the next 10 years. The tax plan will include a 0.5% fee on all stock trades, a 0.1% fee on all bond trades and a 0.005% fee on all derivatives trades.

ChibiCynthia7 We know!, give up most of your income in taxes!!

That would absolutely make my day, year and rest of my life!

High schools are free add an associate degree with the public college, the state pays for all and the feds save money. Sanders idea financially not feasible and colleges will look like refugee camps because not enough money available for upkeep.

Bernie’s a perfect example on why kids need to take basic economics classes

2020 is going to be wild

How is this idiot going to pay for it

Here is what you need to know..... responsible people who worked 2 jobs to pay their debt are now expected to pay lazy not responsible people’s debt. Including Hollywood elite who lied to get their kids in college.

He will end up with a situation where future students have nowhere to borrow money for their education

janetnovack Does it also come with a lifetime supply of Skittles?

I, as an Indian know what this kind of socialism does to the society. Absolutely nothing. It will just make the govt to lose money and distract the public from the actual problem and move on to a different issue. Tackle the problem head on. What will you do for the once a new 1/2

So the professors are working for free now? Wow!! Nothing is free libitards. Wtf!!

Great idea. Millennials don’t get enough handed to them already.

Did he forget to tell you that taxes going up because of that. So how the hard working person who decided not to go to college going to retire and find this economy of ours? 🤔

Bernie is the real deal, his policies are great

Rahul gandhi (UP assembly election 2017)

This is nothing but a political stunt.

His followers are nothing but losers that don’t want to work.

Snake oil salesman. Typical

Socialists. No. Wait. Ultra Left. Marxist-Leninist. I wouldn't mind if he wins. He'd take USA down with him in 4 years. What Russia hasn't been able to do in decades, he shall do in 4 years flat.

Great idea. So schools can just continue to raise prices knowing the government will eventually bail the borrowers out.

How about reparations for those who paid for their college?

Bernie will say or do anything he thinks the dummies out there will believe to get their vote. Then day 1 if elected, “I don’t remember that.”

Doesn’t he remind you of the crazy old man down the street

Who will pay?

Bribery

vote for Bernie, Bill Clinton was do it once again Bernie

O no no .... you sign up for loans you pay the loans... I paid for my 3 kids college, they have no loans - you gonna pay me back Bernie ?

I feel sorry for the students who worked to pay their way thru college without a loan. rippedoff

Colleges and universities will continue raising tuition rates. I am against free college tuition for a couple of reasons, mainly, because companies no longer invest in research and development. They rely on colleges to do it for them so it is a form of corporate welfare.

What about people who saved and sacrificed with out to pay for their kids education They get screwed? Also you do have some responsibility with your loan debt, you choose to go to x school with x tutuion. I think interest rate should be 0% but people have to be responsible too

YES, THIS IS YET ANOTHER LIBERAL LEFTY PLAN THAT WILL MAKE YOU 'JOHN JOE TAXPAYER' PAY FOR EVERYONE ELSE. DON'T MATTER THAT YOU WORKED HARD TO PAY OFF YOUR DEBT AND ARE WORKING HARD FOR A RETIREMENT LIFE...I WANT VOTES BY GIVING GIVING AND GIVING FREEBIES....I LIKE SOCIALISM!

It sounds too good to be true! ;)

Socialism always comes with good promises. Then turns to mafia.
