The meeting is being held in the wake of the school board announcing at the end of last month that it is projecting a $54.4 million deficit.
In a news release issued on April 25, the TDSB said the projected loss comes in the wake of “changes to the funding handed down by the Ministry of Education.” The province announced on April 26 that the amount of money school boards receive per student was being cut. At the time, Pilkey said this would mean a $21.2 million funding reduction for the TDSB.
Yes I know some of those people. NASA Has not lost any rocket scientists in that bunch.
This from an organization that could magically fit two schools into one building in a heartbeat. Shows over capacity is abundant and ability to constrain is available when forced. We’ll see what these high priced bureaucrats come up with to preserve their own fiefdoms.
CndsVSTrudeau Why does TDSB have a green crescent in its logo, FFS?
While I disagree with larger number of students per teachers... I really like to know that is the average salary of a teacher now days.? If the schools don’t provide supplies to the students, how their budget always increasing so dramatically..?
Cut some teachers and administration and books are balanced
Smells like corruption and money laundering in the administration level. Piles of money were laundered through govt budgets on refugee & ESL services for years. But ofc, it has always been Ford's fault!
Poor financial management by school boards . It's a game they excel at
Do a better job TDSB
Maybe get rid of some administrators and wellness specialists.
Attrition = loss no matter how cleverly and deceitfully you state it. The TDSB should commemoratively label this the Doug Ford Budget.
