Most recently working at RMC, Jennifer Scott begins her new role at Laurentian University on Sept. 1

Laurentian University has announced the appointment of Jennifer Scott as the Dean of the Faculty of Education and Health.

An alumna of Laurentian University, Scott earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the university before completing her PhD in Philosophy in Chemistry at the University of Ottawa. “I’m very much looking forward to returning to Laurentian University. It holds a special place in my heart and I’m humbled to be able to play a part in the growth and development of students at Laurentian,” said Scott, in a press release.

As a French-speaking educator, Scott also demonstrates the values of Laurentian’s tricultural mandate. Her commitment to inclusivity is evident through her role on the Steering Committee of the Indigenous Leadership Opportunity Program at RMC, where she has supported the Indigenization of the curriculum and creation of inclusive cultural practices within the institution.
