Definitional chaos becomes irksome only when inputs by experts fail to furnish a bellwether. As a phenomenon, access to university education incites universal craving.

The myopia in focusing university education exclusively on technology transfer is subtle. The subtlety is the reason it evades critical focus and deconstruction. Focusing university education on technology transfer in the global south betrays a tacit acceptance by scholars in the global south that they cannot produce proto technologies worthy of being copied.

As university education philosophy, the pursuit of technology transfer subverts the mission of the university as a nursery and the breeding ground for transcendental ontology of immanence. Transcendental ontology of immanence is a striving to birth the virtual, the not-yet-thought-about, the potential, or the ideal that is itching to trump the real.

They need to make forays into African forests and waters. When such forays are made, the result of the adventure will not fail to yield a surfeit of resins and slimy specimens that would astound when subjected to creative modification. After studying global north’s music in London, Fela leveraged that knowledge to pioneer something different –the Afro Beat brand. Today, many in the music world copy Fela. Fela tweaked ingenuity into what the west could not re-imagine but now enjoys.
