The Chicago teen spoke to students at the Southern Youth Leadership Development Institute in Montgomery on Wednesday. “I think it’s so important to take knowledge that I’ve cultivated with groups of youth in one place and share it with a different group of youth in another place because as teachers, you learn so much just working with different students and being with them,” she said.“Being here in this place and learning about the history as a young Black girl, specifically as the granddaughter of a Civil Rights activist, it’s just so important,” she said.
