Normandy High School junior Juan Rodriguez recently completed his big chair Eagle Scout project. PARMA, Ohio --
“I didn’t do Cub Scouts. I went straight to Boy Scouts when I was in the sixth grade,” said Parma resident and Boy Scout Troop 221-member Rodriguez, 16. “It’s kind of weird how all that happened. Soon after he started to focus on the pursuit of Eagle Scout status, which he said will look good on his resume post-high school when he wants to join the Army as a mechanic.
“I really did like the fact that I could do a chair at the splash pad,” he said. “I just committed to that.
