“Harrisburg School District appreciates Eric Turman’s leadership during his tenure with the district,” said Dr. Lori Suski, HSD’s court-appointed receiver. “We look forward to beginning our search for a well-rounded candidate who will work collaboratively with the Receiver, elected School Board and community and keep our students’ academic success at the forefront of their work.”
Other attributes the HSD is seeking in a superintendent include a collaborative mindset, encouraging staff/community feedback, integrating research and data into decision-making processes and the ability to lead but still make compromises.. Candidates must submit a cover letter, resume and application by July 8. The salary for the position is negotiable and will be competitive, based on training, experience, qualifications and other criteria.
