ABC’s David Muir had a tribute on the last two minutes of his national news program Friday evening showing the men in their wheelchairs being welcomed in France. It was a two-minute honor only to be interrupted by Jesse Hawila on the local affiliate reporting on an impending storm.

Some time ago, I emailed both Abbott and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick’s office with two questions. My first question was could they provide voters with a headcount of how many children of those legislators pushing this plan attend public schools and how many go to private institutions. Secondly, I asked why this issue could not be an item all Texas citizens could vote on, up or down, in the next election. Not surprisingly, I have not received a reply.
