National Education Union warns of exodus caused by excessive workloads

Two-fifths of teachers, school leaders and support staff plan to quit education in the next five years due to “out of control” workload pressures and “excessive” accountability, according to a poll by the country’s biggest teaching union.

Cause they believe the profession is only maka a money, then there is no intention of worship..

Another trope that does the rounds. Many graduates do a teacher training course, get a job and it does not suit them. Most leave within a year whereas the majority accept that the mortgage needs to be paid. Was ever thus I'm afraid, not for everyone.

My daughter did exactly the same. That was 5 years ago. What a waste.

Can't say I blame them! As a retired teacher, I would never recommend the career to a young person today,

Not surprising. I trained and taught in England and left to live and teach abroad. Best thing I could have ever done. I wish I could have stayed to teach here in all honesty but this game of a dog chasing its tail really isn't worth it for all involved.
