ARELLANO University and University of Perpetual Help System Dalta begin their best-of-three duel for the NCAA girls volleyball championship on Sunday, May 12, at the FilOil EcoOil Center, San Juan City.Arellano and Perpetual Help, the top two teams after the elimination round, respectively defeated Emilio Aguinaldo College and Lyceum of the Philippines University to arrange a title duel.
Arellano was led by Samantha Maranan, who recorded a game-high 35 points and six digs, while Catherine Chu chipped in 16 points.On the other hand, Jemalyn Menor scored 20 points and Sherrie Rose Acosta contributed 15 points and 11 digs for Perpetual Help. Jaja San Juan added 10 points and Janine Espiritu recorded 26 excellent digs.The Las Piñas-based school, however, lost back-to-back games in the boys' volleyball semis against Mapua and bowed out of contention.
