Arellano and Perpetual Help, the top two teams after the elimination round, respectively defeated Emilio Aguinaldo College and Lyceum of the Philippines University to arrange a title duel.Arellano prevailed over EAC in four sets 25-19, 21-25, 25-12, 25-21 and Perpetual Help outplayed Lyceum also in four sets 26-28, 25-23, 25-20, 25-12 in the final four.Arellano was led by Samantha Maranan who recorded a game high 35 points and 6 digs while Catherine Chu chipped in 16 points.
On the other hand, Jemalyn Menor scored 20 points and Sherrie Rose Acosta contributed 15 points and 11 digs for Perpetual Help. Jaja San Juan added 10 points and Janine Espiritu recorded 26 excellent digs.The Las Pinas-based school, however, lost back-to-back games in the boys volleyball semis against Mapua and bowed out of contention.The Junior Altas of Coach Sandy Rieta fell short in Game One, 25-14, 20-25, 25-13, 22-25, 12-25 and was beaten again in Game Two 24-26, 25-20, 20-25, 23-25.
