Children across the country will sit their Year 6 SATs tests next week, but what sort of questions will they face and could YOU answer them?

Thousands of children across the country will sit their Year 6 SATs test next week. The national curriculum tests – know as SATs take place between Monday 13 May and Thursday 16 May.

But do you know what your child will be tested on and could you answer the questions they are expected to answer? Take our sample test to find out! In KS1 a score of 100 means the child is working at the expected standard. A score below 100 shows the child needs more support and above 100 suggests the child is working at a higher level than expected for their age.Can I opt my child out of SATs tests? Headteachers have a statutory duty to ensure that all children in their school who are eligible and can sit national curriculum tests do so, and their decision regarding participation is final.
