“I think both collegiately and professionally, when you have 20 million watching a women’s Final Four and national championship game it’s just incredible," Leech said. “You’re seeing it collegiately, professionally, whether that is basketball, soccer, volleyball, softball, all of those things I think women’s sports has proven to be good business. So a really special time.

The Broncos largely financially funded the three-year pilot program of the high school flag football in the state, but now the participating schools will have to come up with the resources. There were 50 high schools in Colorado who participated in the flag football pilot program last year. The responsibilities for funding that sport do fall to the schools," Krueger said."There are costs for transportation, for officials, for facilities, workers, all those will become a reality, but this is one sport if we luckily are going to add one, it is cost-effective.”
