Posted onyes the UK needs a government of national unity, everyone has to take of some responsibility for the Brexit messThere are a number of MPs who genuinely want the best for their constituents and the country for whom I have sympathy. There are also others swayed by party loyalty for whom I have less sympathy and then there are those who display a sense of entitlement to their position and disdain for the electorate for whom I have neither sympathy nor time.
MPs choose to stand and be elected and are paid a not unreasonable salary together with plenty of expenses and perks .It was not the public who presented the arguments for and against membership of the EU it was the politicians and spin doctors. It is no use blaming the public for being uninformed. The subsequent disdain shown by a number of MPs towards both their constituents and the country is truly shocking. – a sorry spectacle with far too many showing themselves to be preoccupied with their own political agendas and not the concerns of the citizens of the UK.So Cross-party collaboration could be an option, the trouble is that Tories on the right would not countenance it.
Yes. And general electiins won't help if two divided parties run against each other. If we want resolution by election, each constituency must have a Brexiteer and a remainer running and no ither candidates.
