Chemists at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) have developed a method to produce cysteine-rich peptides more efficiently and quickly. By mimicking nature's way, the researchers were able to create these small proteins in their naturally folded 3D structure. This advancement in drug discovery research could lead to faster and more reliable production of certain types of peptides and microproteins.
