Texas school bus carrying over 40 Pre-K students struck by concrete truck; 2 dead

A Hays CISD bus carrying 44 pre-K students and 11 adults from Tom Green Elementary School crashed with a concrete truck on State Highway 21 in Bastrop County, resulting in at least two fatalities and multiple injuries. on a Texas state highway Friday afternoon, killing one child on the bus and an adult male in a vehicle following the bus.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the concrete truck veered into the westbound lane and struck the front of the school bus. As a result of the initial crash, a passenger vehicle then collided with the back of either the bus or the truck. KEYE spoke with Hector Campos, the father one of the children on the school bus. He said the field trip was his four-year-old daughter's first.
