'We have options available': Ontario teachers' union not ruling out job action over education reform ONpoli

Ontario PC Education Minister Lisa Thompson makes a statement at the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto on Friday, March 15, 2019. The head of the union representing public high school teachers in Ontario says job action is not out of the question if the government pushes through controversial changes to the province’s education system.

Thompson has called the changes a way to safeguard the future of the education system, and described the increased class sizes as a way for students to build resiliency. Bischof said he has not heard one positive response to the newly announced changes from anybody in the school system.

More reasons to not be at work.
