The University of Houston College of Pharmacy has received $1.4 million in funding from CPRIT to fight familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), a rare genetic disorder. FAP can cause hundreds or thousands of polyps in the colon or rectum and can lead to cancer if not treated.
The funding will support research by Ming Hu and Gregory Cuny to find an effective treatment for FAP.
