A Palestinian organisation has accused Israel of starving more than 9,100 Palestinian detainees in its prisons. The Palestinian Prisoner Society, a local NGO, stated that Israeli prison authorities continue to starve detainees, including women, children, and the sick. They described starvation as the most dangerous policy pursued by the Israeli occupation, along with torture and abuse.
In another development, the Israeli army reprimanded its brigadier general for blowing up Al Isra University in northern Gaza without prior approval from his superiors. Israel's war on besieged Palestinians of Gaza has resulted in the deaths of at least 31,112 people, mostly children and women, and the injury of 72,760. The blockade imposed by Israel since October 7 has left the population, especially those in northern Gaza, on the brink of starvation
