The Ontario government's plan to freeze tuition for another three years and add more than $1-billion in funding for colleges and universities falls short of what an expert panel recommended. Minister of Colleges and Universities Jill Dunlop announced over $900-million in a sustainability fund and $400-million in new funding.
The province also extended the tuition-fee freeze. The announcement aims to address affordability concerns and support students and their parents.
