Mysterious “Disappearing” point brings Vigor's winning season to a disappointing endA local high school basketball team could have been in the state championshi

MOBILE, Ala. —Vigor girls’ basketball coach Andrea Powell still hasn't had her final team meeting after their disappointing loss to Eufaula in the state semi-finals."To look at their faces, to see the tears... to try to say, you know, we had a great season. I couldn't even say that- it's like, it's not supposed to be over."And the reason was broadcast live...

But as viewers watch the score board at the bottom of the screen, two seconds later, Vigor's score mysteriously changes from 39 back to 38.A foul is called on Vigor, a free throw made by Eufaula putting that team in the lead."And if you look at the footage again you can see their coach, he looks at their book keeper, he's like, yes, it's 39, everybody's in agreement, the referee's in agreement.

Instead, they referred NBC 15 News to the rules of the NHFS- the National Federation of High School which states- "NFHS regulations says once a game has ended, the final score stands as showing."
