Mary-Anne and David Popescu have been thinking about the future for a while. With their two children both away at university and one nearing graduation, the couple, who are both 50 years old, thought the time was right to move out of the family home.
Once they made that decision everything came together quickly. The couple plans to move in to their $1 million townhouse at Lake Shore Village once it’s ready in the fall. Post Homes spoke to Mary-Anne about the journey to a fresh start.A: We actually found it almost by accident. My hubby gets his beard done at the Nite Owl Barber Shop near the Lakeshore, and when we were down there we saw a sign for the Dunpar building.
I don’t think I’m a creature of habit, but it’s comforting that it’s familiar. My Dad loved that home when we had it. And I’m glad my brother was here to see this development when we bought it.A: We’ve got the end unit, which has a roof deck and faces south. It’s a beautiful three-storey space and a bit of a funky environment.
