St Francis Primary Parent Council are calling for the school’s MUGA and red ash pitch to receive an upgrade and regular maintenance alongside a local councillor.

Parents are fighting to get their school pitches repaired as the sports grounds are cracked and have weeds coming through.

And south side central councillor Soryia Siddique said the school’s red ash pitch seems to be forgotten.Pointing out the Gorbals primary is located in an "area of high poverty", Ms O’Neill said the “facilities are extremely vital.” After a recent visit to see the state of the play areas, Labour councillor Siddique said: “Thanks to St Francis Primary School and Parent Council for the site visit discussing the forgotten red ash pitch and MUGA in need of repair.

“The place spaces upgrade must be funded to ensure there are optimum play spaces to allow learning through play.”
