Elmore County Schools releases information in Wetumpka High School assault

Elmore County officials have released new information regarding the recent assault allegations at Wetumpka High School.

The Elmore County Board of Education says central office personnel and the administration at the high school completed their investigation involving the assaults that were reported last Wednesday. Officials say a total of six students were identified as participating in the assaults on six other students.The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, commonly referred to as FERPA, prevents the Elmore County Board of Education from being able to comment on disciplinary action of students.
