Under a new law pupils under six can be denied entry into school, while the parents of older children will be fined up to £425 if their paper work is not in order.Children have to get vaccinated under a new law

Health Minister Giulia Grillo was so eager to implement the new rules she rejected pressure from Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini, who wanted to give parents more time beyond the March 11 deadline, according to reports. She added to La Repubblica newspaper: ‘Now everyone has had time to catch up.’

The Observer view on the callous cuts to school funding | Observer editorialThe cruel economics of austerity is taking its toll on those pupils most in need and most at risk SCHOOL CHOICE! There is a lot of competition for which cuts are the most recklessly irresponsible...NHS, criminal justice system, police, social welfare and so much more besides. Education is the rock on which everything else depends, making the grave underfunding of our children indefensible. As an ex school governor I can attest to this. Despite crowing for the need for education The Conservative government is cynically against it for the “common child.” They prefer to have an undereducated underclass that cannot think for itself and will not question its authority.
