A New Jersey mom has accused a high school teacher of inappropriately bringing politics into the classroom by displaying an anti-Trump T-shirt. The shirt mimicked former President Barack Obama‘s “Hope” posters, but it had the words “Nope” and “Vive la résistance” underneath a picture of the current president, the local Morristown Daily Record reports.
“It was not just anti-Trump. It was calling for a revolution,” she said. “It was certainly not a message that teachers should be giving students.” How political should public school teachers be allowed to get in their classrooms? https://t.co/6PhNRN4gUVRoxbury Public Schools superintendent Loretta Radulic told New Jersey 101.5 that she couldn’t discuss a “personnel matter” but said the situation “was handled appropriately.” Yahoo Lifestyle has reached out to Radulic for further comment.
Whitney said the shirt came down last week. But her own son apparently had a problem with the same teacher getting political when he was still at Roxbury High. Whitney said the teacher made her son update a current-events project on Israel to add Al Jazeera as a source, a news organization Whitney said uses anti-Semitic language.
“He should be made an example of rather than defended by the superintendent,” she told New Jersey 101.5 about the teacher.Follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter for nonstop inspiration delivered fresh to your feed, every day.
Can someone create obamaHat & obamaFlag just like maga hats & flags? The trumpets will hate it 😆🧢🔹
It’s inappropriate. The context of Trump’s actions can be viewed as completely foolish through any historical lens objectively.
Where can you buy the shirts?
