Staff Reports Lakeside School lost to No. 2 ranked Lowndes Academy 51-7 in AISA high school football action Thursday night in Lowndesboro.
The loss dropped Lakeside to 5-3 overall and to 2-2 in Class AA, Region 1, while Lowndes improved to 8-0 and 3-0. Lakeside finishes third in the region and will travel to Jackson Academy or Wilcox Academy for a first-round state playoff game in three weeks. The Chiefs became just the third team to score against the Rebels, who have allowed only 28 points in eight games.
