A former Catholic school priest has been convicted on three of eight historical charges of indecent dealing with a child while working as a teacher at Villanova College in Brisbane's east decades ago.

Endicott had pleaded not guilty to the eight counts of indecent dealing with a child, at the beginning of his District Court trial on Monday.
