The Philadelphia School District gives Joyce Abbott, of Abbott Elementary fame, her own street in a surprise celebration on 'Joyce Abbott Day.'

The Philadelphia School District is making Sept. 26"Joyce Abbott Day." The now-retired Philly teacher - the namesake of TV show Abbott Elementary - was surprised with a street named in her honor and honorary induction into the Overbrook High Hall of Fame.
