A Co Tyrone mum of two is celebrating after being offered a university place after having left higher education in the past. After having her daughter shortly after dropping out of her university course, Nadia then went on to study a foundation degree in Health and Social Care at South West College in Dungannon. She went on to have a baby boy during the delivery of her course and is now preparing for an Adult Nursing degree at Ulster University.

“Almost two years into this degree, I realised that social work wasn’t the career path I desired and knew that I owed it to myself to be happy in my future career, whatever that may be. “Meanwhile, I welcomed my daughter into the world, becoming a mother. I opted to study the Foundation Degree in Science in Health and Social Care at SWC Dungannon because the modules would help me decide what degree I wanted to progress to.Nadia thanked her tutors during her time at South West College for the help she received after having her second baby.

“I wouldn't be beginning my next journey without them. I can't thank them enough for all their hard work.”
