Tricky school maths question leaves adults stumped - can you solve it?

Maths, whether algebra or fractions, can be tricky to get our heads around. Most of it we don't use every day, so keeping our minds active with all the knowledge we learnt at school is quite challenging.

Attempting such questions is a great boost to one's cognitive function and brain vitality, so sitting down to solve challenging maths problems is always worth making time for.The question was originally released back in 2016 in a since-removed tweet, in which a mum confessed she was struggling to figure out the correct answer.

The question was posted by Mathletics, who collected a list of some of the trickiest exam questions that have left people online baffled in recent years.
