'I remember when I first moved to Ireland with Brian, I was pregnant, I couldn’t read or write.'

Reality star Kerry Katona has opened up about her struggles with reading and writing up until her 20s.

"I remember when I first moved to Ireland with Brian, I was pregnant, I couldn’t read or write. I was dyslexic. With Brian being on tour all the time, I did a typing course and I taught myself how to read and write properly," she revealed.Speaking to Ireland AM, Kerry explained that her mother rarely sent her to school and that she was in and out of foster homes, which really affected her ability to read and write.

Kerry also said that her reading and writing struggles were so dire, that Atomic Kitten’s manager had to read out restaurant menus to her back in the day. Kerry told viewers: "I remember we were in a restaurant with Atomic Kitten and I couldn’t read the restaurant, our manager had to read it for me. Kerry, who overcame her battles with literacy and her dyslexia, went on to write several books including her most recent autobiography titled 'Kerry Katona: Whole Again: Love, Life and Me'.
