Nigeria's former Minister of Education Mrs Obiageli Ezekwesili has expressed support for the punishment the Joint Adminission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) imposed on Mmesoma Ejikeme, who allegedly forged her 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Result (UTME) and claimed to be the top scorer. SaharaReporters had reported earlier that a Committee of Inquiry set up by the Government of Anambra State to thoroughly investigate the controversy around the said UTME results of Ejikeme Mmesoma submitted its findings to the state government.

Anambra Schoolgirl, Mmesoma Must Be Sanctioned To Serve As Warning To Others – Ex-Minister, Ezekwesili Backs JAMBNigeria's former Minister of Education Mrs Obiageli Ezekwesili has expressed support for the punishment the Joint Adminission and Matriculation Board imposed on Mmesoma Ejikeme, who allegedly forged her 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Result and claimed to be the top scorer.

The committee also recommended that the schoolgirl tenders apology to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board . Ezekwesili in a statement she posted on her Twitter handle which was titled:"Mmesoma and @JAMBHQ Saga," wrote,"I have just read the report of the Committee set up by Anambra State Government to investigate and report their independent findings on the Mmesoma and JAMB Saga.

She added,"There are usually syndicates at the center of perpetration of exam malpractices in Nigeria but it appears not to be so in Mmesoma’s case from the facts of the Committee’s report.
