Ateneo de Manila University continues to lead the Philippines' list of schools in the latestFor the third consecutive year, the Katipunan-based school appeared as the highest-rated school among 29 colleges and universities in the country in terms of its contributions to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals with a 79.1 score out of 100.
This year, Ateneo landed 201–300 out of 1,591 institutions globally compared to its 100-200 bracket last year. It scored highest in five SDGs: No poverty , Clean Water and Sanitation ; Affordable and Clean Energy ; Sustainable Cities and Communities ; and Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions .to continue the universities' effort and contribution in"helping build a more sustainable present and future, as outlined in our Lux In Domino 2030 strategic plan."
"As we pursue our goal of helping make the UN SDGs a reality, and on our path to becoming a Laudato Si' University, our entire community will always aim to become a force for good in our world,” Yap added.Other local schools including De La Salle University and the University of the Philippines placed in the 400-601 bracket.
On its fifth edition this year, the Times Higher Education ranks and assesses universities across the world based on our broad areas: research output, outreach, teaching, and stewardship programs.
