We will experience much longer and much drier summers

According to a major international report, it is predicted that the world may break the 1.5 degree celsius climate threshold as soon as 2027.

“Not a great place to have a Mediterranean climate - I’d rather keep it in the Mediterranean, quite frankly," UCC’s Dr Chris Mays told The Last Word on Today FM. “The main issue is we are heading in the wrong direction. We should be preparing for a 2 degree warming which is much more likely I believe.”“Every part of the world is different but what we can look forward to in some kind of way is warmer summers, drier summers in Ireland, depending on where you are there will be a different diagnosis.
